Val complied to Adrien's request by magical means - Adrien took a sip, then set the cup onto the round side table. He looked at Val. "What do you do when you run out of spells, anyway?".
"What do you mean?", Val said, his eyes a little bit wider.
Adrien shrugged a little. "Well, I made a fireball, I thought I could make some wind, although it didn't work... Then I kinda ran out of ideas. I didn't want to do Water magic, and I had no idea what to do with Earth, and... I mean, there's only so many things that I know how to do...".
"That's not true", Val replied. "You can do anything that you can think of. That is the beauty of magic; the only limit is your imagination", he smiled.
"I don't know if I can just pull off something that I've never tried before during a duel, though", Adrien said, his voice low.
Val shook his head, but he was smiling as he did so. "You don't need to feel bound to the aspects of magic that you have already practiced upon. When you learned about Fire spells, you practiced casting a fireball - but that was only an example. If you understand the state of being that is connected to casting a Fire spell, then you can cast anything that relies upon that energy. Don't worry about whether your idea will work or not - try, and you will see; we're only relaxing and having fun - you don't need to feel like this is a test".
