He picked up the bigger of the two presents - before even reading who the sender was, Adrien recognized the angular handwriting. "It's from my friend Julia", he said. He turned the package in his hands a few times; whatever was inside, it sounded like it was rolling inside its container. He tore the wrapping paper open, revealing a cardboard box - printed onto it in a thick, star-adorned lettering, its label read:

The Wondrous Kaleidohedron
- Changes in your hands -

Taped to the back of the box, there was a letter. Adrien detached it and unfolded it open.

Happy 24, Adrien!
We saw this in the bookstore the other day and thought you'd love it. Hopefully you don't have one already!
Have a fantastic birthday!

The Gifts of Darkness - Chapter 20 - Page 4

Lots of unusual lettering work in these pages.

You may remember Steffan and Julia from Adrien's memory of the midnight beach in Chapter 6.

Also about the name of the kaleidohedron: back in high school, the teachers said that knowing ancient Latin and ancient Greek would be good for me. I was highly skeptical. But there have been a few days in which my vast repertoire of knowing random shit has paid off. Today is one such day. But I don't think "naming a magical toy in a webcomic about gay wizards" is exactly what they meant.
