Quietly, with pain in his smile, Val reached for Adrien; his warm fingers so gently caressed his hand - Adrien closed his eyes to understand that feeling, and he curled his fingers to hold him. Val's hand was so slight and delicate that Adrien half-feared that it would turn into mist if he were to hold it any tighter. Val lowered his head and let out a deep sigh; a crease appeared on his eyelids, and tears streamed down his face again. Adrien's arms moved almost on their own as they wrapped Val; and as he set his head onto Val's shoulder to give him comfort, the tears came back for him too. And so they cried again - as they needed, and as they could no longer hold. Adrien felt it under his hands as they held Val's back: something was being released at long last. He felt it within himself as well: when had he last been at such peace?
