Reaching out with both arms, Adrien invited Val into an embrace; and with a smile, Val fell into his arms. Adrien watched the blue light ripple against his skin, then he breathed in. "Val", he whispered, "why have we waited so long...".

Val did not immediately reply. He caressed Adrien's hands for a long time before speaking again. "What matters", he said in a low voice, "is that we are here, now".
