Adrien listened, in awe. Val was a demon, after all; and Adrien had never felt it as much as in that moment, with his patterns of blue light ablaze and his spirit darkness dripping and coiling. Yet it was something that Adrien never failed to be aware of - and which, at the same time, seemed far beyond his understanding. He let the infinite darkness of the tendril curl around his hand, and held it with arousal and affection - and Val's smile told him that his emotion had been received. It was in that moment that Adrien fully came to understand how much he wanted Val - Val, the demon; and all that he was, whether he could grasp on this mystery or not.
