He flicked his finger to produce a tiny flame: "A candle's flame is made of fire, too. It is very different from a blaze... but it is Fire, nonetheless; it only embodies different qualities of the same element".

Adrien fixated on the flame in Val's hand, pondering its nature. "A candle... makes a little warmth, and you can use it to read in the dark. So, I guess... even though it's not obvious, Fire can have a comforting aspect, too". His gaze shifted to the glowing triangle on Val's chest, peeking through the neckline of his robe; and he understood further.

Val noted where Adrien's attention was directed, and he smiled. He curled his finger, extinguishing the flame. "And in the same way, the all-consuming quality of the Fire element does not always manifest itself as a blaze. Your objective in this exercise is to expand your understanding of the elements, and connect this understanding with what you already know".
